Heard a great message on comparison by @brianchouston
(you can listen on youtube, the message is called “What Is That To
You?”), and it encouraged me… hope it encourages you, too! It’s
such a great reminder to live our lives free of comparison. Comparison
will dwarf your soul, will make you small on the inside. Truly, it’s a
beautifully freeing thing to learn how to live in the sphere of grace
you have been given. When we start to compare our lives, talents,
abilities, and means with another, we’ll find ourselves dissatisfied,
bitter, or jealous. The fact is, there will always be someone who
appears to have it more together than we do, or is more polished or
savvy or popular or whatever, but if we shift our perspective to realize
that God has created us uniquely and without compare… when we stop
getting distracted by our own insecurities and just learn to walk in the
grace we’ve been given, we’ll be amazed at how God can use us…
imperfections and awkwardness and all! God has not called you to be
anyone else’s imitation. Hold on to your purpose, and stay within the
sphere of grace God has purposed and anointed for you! || Andrea Howey
